As I've been looking for fun things to do in the area, I've noticed that the Calvert Library has a ton of events and things to do almost every night of the week. They have events for all ages, from small children, through the teens, and up to adults. And there are a wide range of events from book readings to concerts to gaming to workshops. All of these events are a great way to get the community involved and there really is something for everyone! If you're looking for something to do during the week or on the weekends be sure to check out the Calvert Library! The Second Annual Bayside Chevrolet Car Truck Bike Show is Saturday 10/13/12 from 9AM-3PM at 1200 Solomoms  Island Road Prince Frederick MD across from Calvert Memorial Hospital. A Twofer Beverage Break in Prince Frederick MD! Okay, I know, there is something askew about this picture. giggle. chuckle. tee hee. My Dad used to tell me that his truck did not break at Starbucks. He was trying to rile me up. I would always tell him that it was okay because mine braked at every one. Well, the bench looks suspiciously like the decor in Panera in Prince Frederick MD. And the Frap, well, you know the story on that. So how do you explain the Twofer Beverage Break late on a Friday Night? I was on the way out the door after my Starbucks stop when a friend called and arranged a quick dinner stop within minutes. My friend got a quick Pamera dinner, I got to enjoy my Frap, and right as the doors started to close, each Panera customer got FREE leftover baked goods from the day.... 06/22/2012

Tasty Restaurant Find in Prince Frederick Maryland? Well, peek below and you will see how Mom and I polished off our dinner this early evening! The desert is two bites and borders on being deadly delicious for $ 1.25.  This is an Applebee's specialty. Mom and I have gone back three times for the exact same meal. The spinach shrimp salad, the Nachos, and the deadly desert ending are what keep bringing us back. Each mouthful is brownie, ice cream, chocolate syrup, and probably the entire daily calorie count in one fell swoop! Recently I needed a banner for my facebook page.  I tried a few photos before I decided that I needed assistance.  I reached out to Online 4 A Dime for help. Southern Maryland House Tour Surprises Today!  The best surprise was while we were looking at homes just listed from Prince Frederick, MD to Lusby, MD today, I looked down the road from one of the just listed homes and saw a lady exercising with her three labs. Each was a different color. I tried to holler over and get her attention to ask to take a photo, but she had music playing and did not hear a thing. Other than that, I saw a turtle, a squirrel, some beautiful flowering bushes, lots of raindrops and a couple of different Starbucks Stores. Yesterday, I had lunch with a co-worker at Saphron Restaurant in Prince Frederick MD. The restaurant is located off Main Street in 'The Old Field House' originally built in the late 1800's. Saphron moved to the location in 2010.  I had always heard they had great food but never had the opportunity to dine there. We were not disappointed. In addition to the great food, lunch was a great value, they have a $10 lunch special. The special includes an entree and a salad or the soup of the day. In addition to the items on their daily menu they have a few specials. I had a bowl of the French Onion soup to start. A good friend of mine suggested that I check out Dr. Francesca Bruney when I was on the hunt for a new primary care physician (my last one has gone on extended maternity leave).  His exact words were "She's a bit far but I believe well worth the drive." I decided to give her a try.  All I can say is "She is amazing!" I got the most thorough physical ever and she willingly answered all questions that I had.  It felt as though you were chatting with an old friend so you were very comfortable sharing with her. Dr. Bruney is  also comfortable with technology.  As I was leaving I asked for my prescription and she indicated that she had already sent it to the pharmacy and I was able to pick it up on the way home.  No Waiting!
