Trunk or Treat at Public Safety Headquarters in Gaithersburg, Oct. 29All monsters, goblins, witches, and more are invited to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service’s (MCFRS) Trunk or Treat Halloween from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 29. The free event will be held at the Public Safety Headquarters, located at 100 Edison Park Drive in Gaithersburg. Other public safety partners will decorate a trunk and plan on sharing safety tips and emergency preparedness messages along with candy. Fall Loose Leaf Collection in GaithersburgFall loose leaf collection for single-family and townhouse owners begins Monday, October 27, and will continue through Friday, December 26, weather permitting. Collection is made weekly, however there may be a one to two-day delay during busy periods. Rake your leaves to the street curb by 7 a.m. on your regular recycling day. Note that leaves placed in alleys or mews will not be collected.
