Halloween "Trick or Treat" on Main Street in Historic Ellicott City 2010 Halloween is fast approaching and there is no better way to start the fun than the yearly "Trick or Treat" festivities in Old Town Ellicott City. Sunday October 31st. Main Street comes alive with ghouls, superheros, Princesses and cowboys. This year will be the 27th Annual Halloween Event. Usually the weather is delightful and families travel from around the area to join in the fun from 4pm till 6pm. This event was almost canceled back in 2002 as the DC Sniper was still at large and evading police. The entire Maryland, DC and Virginia area was living in fear. Friday's Fotos- Fun in the leaves. Yesterday after the school pick up, I headed over to my listing on 4761 Hallowed Stream in Ellicott City that goes to settlement today. Just one last visit to make sure everything was OK before the Buyers final walkthru this morning and an opportunity to take the name riders off the sign. In the front yard the tree was a blaze of Fall colors and the leaves had started to fall on the ground.  From the back seat of my car my 4 year old started to squeal in delight. " Mummy, can I play in the beautiful leaves? This foreclosure suspension issue seems to be a very big deal.  A long drawn out process seems that it could bring lots of uncertainty to the housing market.  This is causing some of the big title insurance companies to not write title on these properties, thus lenders won't lend on some of these properties.   There seems to be confusion between who actually owns which mortgage after they got split into mortgage backed securities.  Which is basically allowing most people who are legitimately late and behind on payments that are trying to foreclose more time to live rent free in their property while lawyers spend money and time trying to get to the bottom of everything.  The big question is how much time?
