(psst - I've hijacked Tim's blog today.  Shhh ... don't tell him - let's just see if he notices) -Shari, Tim's Assistant :)   When Customer Service is Better than Expected.  Back in December my husband and I visited Grilled Cheese & Co. in Catonsville.  A relatively new restaurant, it has become one of our lunchtime favorites and we try to get there as often as we can.  My personal favorite is the Fresca, but my husband loves the Crabby Melt. If you are looking for a FABULOUS place to eat, you have got to stop in to Duesenberg's in Catonsville, MD.  Just off Frederick Road on Mellor Avenue, parking is available at the meters or a short walk away in a lot.   There is often a wait as it's not a big place, but trust me, it will be well worth it!  It's billed as an American Cafe and Grill, but this ain't your ordinary cafe!  The food is as creative as it is delicious!  The portions are plentiful and the pricing is fair. Every server is friendly, professional and efficient.   It is obvious they love where they work!. The Arbutus Volunteer Fire Department Annual Santa Detail is a highlight of the season. (Especially when you have a 4 year old little boy!) All of the neighborhoods in the Catonsville and Arbutus area are mapped out and meticulously visited on that specific day. For a total of 11 days the volunteers escort Santa on a BIG RED FIRE TRUCK. The 17th Annual Lighting of the Holiday Tree in Catonsville, Maryland. 2010 The traditional kick off to the holiday season in Catonsville, Maryland happens on the first Saturday after Thanksgiving. It was one of a few taken last week during an OPEN HOUSE we attended at St Marks School in Catonsville My little angel is now in Pre-K and it's time to decide where he will be starting Kindergarten next Fall. St Marks Catholic School is an excellent school in the heart of Catonsville founded in 1889 under the School Sisters of Notre Dame. They have served generations of families in the Catonsville area and is very close to home. The Open House tour was very informative and our 7th grade  guides diligently showed us all of the areas of the school. There is no Mistake that it is Fall in Maryland. Catonsville is an area rich in old leafy trees. The beauty of the changing landscape is breathtaking. A change that is followed by the falling of the leaves and the carpet that they create on the ground.
