Two weeks ago if you took a drive through Catonsville, you would have seen a few lone chairs on the side of the road. Catonsville's Frederick Road Fridays has a new home at the Mews on Mellor just off Frederick Road. This area is just a 1/2 block from the original location and means local roads won't need to be shut down for the event. We have spent many a summer evening dancing and enjoying this event which many residents can walk to! Catonsville got the nickname "Music City" from all the guitar and music shops along Frederick Road.  But we also love our live music and are excited for a new concert series - Family Time Festivals.  The day long festival is sponsored by Hub Bicycle Shop and takes place behind the shop in the Strawberry Fields lot at 821 Frederick Road.   The upcoming concert is Saturday, June 15th.  It features an incredible line up of blues and roots rock bands including Catonsville's own The Roadside Show and then McFadden and Friends and Reality Jones.  The schedule is 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and the bands play throughout the day.  Food and craft beer, kids games and activities are planned as well.               There are more festivals planned though November - one per month.  What a great idea for fam... 06/11/2013

Memorial Day 2013- Thank you to all that have served.   It can not be forgotten that Memorial Day is not just a day off of school or work to cook out with friends, but a day to remember and THANK past and present Citizens that serve and who have served in all departments of the US military. In the Baltimore area the Baltimore National Cemetery is a tribute to Veterans at rest. On Memorial Day every white grave stone is decorated with the US flag.
