6155 King Rd Boonsboro MD 21713 $239,900      Can you take a minute and visualize a bit? Every work day, you get up and you drive to the city. It may be Baltimore or Rockville or Bethesda or Washington, DC. It might be one of those "complexes" out on the Dulles Toll Road. It is the city. It is the place that you go every work day. It is the home of the "pressure cooker" that includes your work environment.     Where doesn't matter. It is the city. Here is a snapshot of the current housing marketin Boonsboro Maryland. As of the 4/16/07 there are 69 current residential active listings in Boonsboro. Currently 8 homes are under contract which is only slightly over 10.4% of the total listed homes. The breakdown of the price ranges looks as follows:$200K and under- 3 Homes   $200-300K- 18$300-400K- 20 $400-500K- 10 $500-600K- 3 $600-700K- 3 $700+ - 12Of the 69 active listings, 27 have been on the market 180+ days and 40 total at 90+ days. This still shows that sellers need to get those prices down to be competitive or risk a long period on the market. Although the start of the year seemed to pick up some I have seen a slight softening recently. The breakdown of sold homes since the start of the year looks as follows compared to last year...

Nestled at the foot of South Mountain in Washington County lies the town of Boonsboro, Maryland.  Initially named Boonesborough, Boonsboro was named after two brothers, George and William Boone, who once owned the land where the town now sits. Boonsboro is located near the Frederick County boundary and near the Antietam Battlefield northeast of Sharpsburg. Today, Boonsboro is a quiet community catching the over-flow growth of Frederick County, as commuters to the Baltimore-DC Metropolitan Area move westward in search of homes with a rural setting. Some attractions near Boonsboro include the Crystal Grottoes Caverns, Boonsborough Museum of History, and Washington County Rural Heritage Museum. Also nearby are Greenbrier State Park, South Mountain State Park, and Washington Monument State P...

Used to be you had to actually travel to the place where you were going to relocate, then look for homes there in person, typically with the help of a Realtor you more or less got stuck with by walking into some local real estate office. Now, however, the Internet makes it possible to not only hunt online for homes you like before you move, but to even select a Realtor, compatible with you, to help you make your final at-location choice. Tip #4 - Choosing a Realtor Off the Web How can you choose a Realtor you've never met? Well, one way is to look at and compare the Web sites of ones who serve your new city.
