Maryland Improves Roads for BRAC Members of Maryland's congressional delegation announced Monday that they had secured $5.6 million to help pay for road projects related to expanded employment at Fort Meade and Aberdeen Proving Ground under the Pentagon's base realignment program. Reps. C.A. Dutch Ruppersberger, John Sarbanes and Frank Kratovil, along with Sens. Barbara A. Mikulski and Benjamin L. Cardin, made the announcement near Route 175 and Rockenbach Road at Fort Meade - one of the intersections scheduled to be improved to accommodate increased traffic. What does BRAC mean to you?  Base realignment and consolidation means an awful lot in Maryland.  Harford County has experienced many changes getting ready for the BRAC change.  Road ways, housing communities, jobs, etc.  There have been many, many office buildings poping up on the proving ground the entry to post is developing a new look while construction continues daily.  As for home sales they have not sky rocketed over the past 8 months due to the BRAC change, however it is encouraging.
