Sharon High School Football Wins Division 3 Super Bowl! Congratulations to the entire team, Coach Dave Morse and the coaching staff! The Sharon High Football team won the Division 3 Super Bowl today at Bentley University with a 12-3 win over Wayland. It was a freezing cold day with snow falling and temperatures in the 20s. That just seems to show that nothing could hold back the Eagles. Many days on my way past the high school at around 4:30 p.m. when it was already dark out, I would see the team on the field. I always thought, "what are they doing out here at this time in the dark". The answer? Putting in the work needed to win the Super Bowl Congratulations, Eagles!! A proud graduate of Sharon High!

Sharon MA Real Estate Market Report - Jan to Nov 2012 There has been a significant increase in the number of single family houses sold in Sharon MA year-to-date compared to the same time period in 2011. A total of 191 single family houses have sold compared to 146 in the same time last year. In fact, that's more houses sold in any entire year since 2005 and we still have another month of sales left.  What's the reason for the huge increase in homes sold in Sharon MA? Well, for one thing the mortgage rates are still the lowest they've ever been. It's a great opportunity for buyers! Another reason is that the average sales price has increased fairly slowly over the past 3 years in the Sharon MA real estate market.  There has been only a 1.5% increase in the average sales price compared to...

It all comes down to helping people. Someone asked me to describe what I love about working in real estate. Every sentence I started began with the words, "I like helping people...". In this sometimes sarcastic and cynical world, I imagine some people saying, "Oh, isn't that nice," and rolling their eyes. Uhm...yeah, well it's true. Maybe it's because I'm the oldest in my family. If you were born first you understand what I mean. I genuinely like helping people. Selling or buying a house can be overwhelming and time consuming, even if you've done it before. As a trusted REALTOR®, I give people the information they need so they can make good decisions. I like to put my expertise to work for people. I know how to market houses and I understand the local real estate market. Deciding to sel...

If you are looking for septic service or need a Title V inspection, All Seasons Septic provides outstanding service in Massachusetts.  Kevin and Aimee Orlando own this great company based in Stoughton MA. From the time my husband and I first met Kevin about 11 years ago, we were impressed! Before we found All Seasons Septic, a different company had come to pump the septic tank. The technician thought it was ok to wipe the hose off on the grass in our back yard. At the time, our children were toddlers. We were not happy. When we learned about All Seasons Septic, and spoke to Kevin, he assured us this would never happen. It never has happened to us. I've only heard great comments about All Seasons Septic from the many clients and friends who have called Kevin, too. As a Realtor, I work wi...

When we become part of something that is right and just we become better people. Hats off to NBC and veteran television anchor, Bob Costas, for giving us the opportunity. In his July 27th broadcast of the opening ceremony of the 2012 Olympic games, Mr. Costas will include a moment of silence in memory of the 11 athletes murdered by Palestinian terrorists at the 1972 Olympics in Munich, Germany. Not only is that the right thing to do, it is something the International Olympic Committee (IOC) has refused to do for 40 years. In this weekend's Wall Street Journal (July 21-22, 2012), David Feith, an assistant editorial features editor, wrote that in addition to NBC and Mr. Costas others have spoken up in favor of commemorating the Munich murders including President Barack Obama, all U.S. sen...

It's blueberry picking season! You can go to Ward's Berry Farm in Sharon to pick your own blueberries...they're ready now! Does anyone who grew up in Sharon MA remember the blueberry farm on Morse St. right near the intersection with Massapoag Ave? I remember biking there every summer with my brothers and picking blueberries. The bushes were gigantic and the blueberries were huge! The family that owned the farm would pay us for every pint or quart we picked. I don't remember if it was a nickel, dime or quarter. It didn't matter! We loved picking...and eating...as many blueberries as we could! That farm is gone now. There's a big, new construction home in the area where I remember the bushes being. Whenever I drive by, I wonder if any of the blueberry bushes remain. The memories sure do!...

When you get ready to sell your house in Sharon MA, there are 5 extra steps you can take to really make it stand out to buyers. You may already know that you should de-clutter, clean thoroughly, and remove some of your personal displays and photos. But, if you take the time to do these 5 extra steps it will send a message to buyers that your house is well-maintained and that's the message you want to convey to sell your house in Sharon MA. 1.   Make sure all the lightbulbs work. Buyers are looking for light-filled rooms. Check that all the lightbulbs are working so that your rooms can be easily seen. There's nothing more dreary than walking through dimly lit rooms. Tomorrow, our neighbor, Jeff Sprung, is going to hop on his bike and ride from Boston to Provincetown on Cape Cod. The ride is 150 miles over two days. Never mind that we've been having a heat wave with temperatures in the high 90s and even reaching 100 degrees! This is Jeff's 8th year doing this ride with other members of Team Road Ruach for the Bike MS New England challenge. They've ridden in the heat and in thunderstorms. MS stands for multiple sclerosis. According to the National MS Society website, MS is a chronic, often disabling disease that attacks the central nervous system, which is made up of the brain, spinal cord and optic nerves. There is no cure, yet. Approximately 400,000 Americans have MS and every week, 200 people are diagnosed.  The Cape Cod ride is the largest MS rid...
