If you are looking to move to Quincy Massachusetts then one of the first things you will need to do is talk to a local Quincy MA insurance agent as the laws in Massachusetts are very different then other states.  Because of this it is very important to work with a local agent who understands the ins and outs of the insurance system in MA. Based on my own personal experience I highly recommend using Marchionne Insurance because they have a great team that is extremely experienced in insurance in Massachusetts and they are conveniently located in Quincy @ 11 Independence Ave.  If you would like more info please visit there website @ www.marchionneinsurance.com  or contact AJ Marchionne @ 617-471-5010

Having certain chemicals and the right amount of them is critical now that pool season is upon us.  Metal-removing chemicals are important for pools. Without them, metal in the tap water used to fill the pool can react with the pool chemicals and turn the water green, brown, or even pink. Pool owners should also use a stabilizer for chlorinated pools. Without a stabilizer, the sun can burn off chlorine before it has a chance to kill bacteria. All chemicals should be tested once a week.  Here is a list of common pool chemicals: Chlorine: Chlorine kills bacterial growth on contact, making your pool safe for swimming. Chlorine, however, can break down under the sun's rays, making it useless. If you have a pool that is in direct sunlight, use stabilized chlorine to keep your pool chlorinat...

May is the start of the busiest time of year for moving companies.  Make sure you hire a reputable company. If you're packing up your home anytime soon, you may want to consider a few tips, courtesy of the BBB, to make sure that your moving company is trustworthy: Research the company thoroughly: Interstate movers must be licensed with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration; they are assigned a motor carrier number that you can verify at www.protectyourmove.gov. Also, you can check with the BBB, which maintains more than 17,000 reliability reports on various movers. Other potential sources of information include Attorney General Martha Coakley's office, the state Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation and the U.S. Department of Transportation. I was pleased to read in yesterday's Patriot Ledger that a tree in front of Quincy City Hall has been adorned with yellow ribbons bearing the names and ranks of members of a National Guard battalion based at a Quincy armory.   The family support group for the 186th G Company Basic Support Battalion hung the ribbons on May 2 in Quincy. Members of the 186th were recently deployed to Camp Phoenix and Camp Dubs near Kabul, Afghanistan. The 70 weatherproof yellow ribbons will hang on the tree until the soldiers return home. "It is a simple but poignant way of showing our support to the soldiers and families," said City Councilor Kevin Coughlin. The city councils of Quincy and Boston passed resolutions this year declaring the first Sunday in May "Yellow Ribbon Sunday" in honor of citizen sold...

Downtown Quincy is getting greener.  A block of Hancock Street will be closed and replaced with a green pedestrian mall about four times the size of Boston's Copley Square.   Called "Adams Green", the concept will require at least two years of maneuvering through government agencies before construction begins. When completed, the urban park would be a venue for celebrations, pushcarts, fairs, and outdoor concerts, as well as strolling, sitting on park benches, or meeting friends before deciding where to go for dinner.   "We want a space that will capture people's hearts,'' said landscape architect Craig Halvorson.
