365 Things to do in Worcester County - attend a voice recital in Holden.  Last week I had the pleasure of going to Wachusett High School on Main St., in Holden for a voice recital.  Sarah, my younger daughter has been taking lessons with Mr. Beck along with about a dozen other students.  This was her chance to show us and her chorus teacher what she learned during the year. 365 things to do in Worcester County - come home with the "gold" from Springfield Dance competition.  For those of you who have been faithfully following my blog, you know that Memorial Day Week end is my big competition in Springfield, MA.  Today I competed in Waltz, Tango, and Cha-Cha with my partner, Fred.  It was a long day as I woke up at 5:30 and did my hair and make up and got to the Springfield Sheraton at 7:00 am.  I got my dress on and started practicing our three dances practically till our fist Heat - dance at 8:37 AM.  I did not get nervous until the first dance was done and by the begining of Tango, my heart fealt like it was going to wrip out of my chest.  But I survived the competition and stayed on to watch fellow dancers from my school compete in their categories. 365 things to do in Worcester County - Enjoy a cook out for Memorial Day Week end in Holden.  An impromptu cook out invitation turns into a fun family celebration.  My sister in law invited the family to celebrate her children's birthday and memorial day at her home in Holden.  Since the Smith family is into sports, the occasion could not be complete without a badminton tournament of three on three.  My family participated while I recorded the event for my blog.
