This Friday, April 9, 2010, the Amite's Got Talent 2 Showcase will be held at 7pm at Amite High School's theater.  Since last year was such a great success, the Amite Arts Council decided they would put another showcase on this year.  Included in this year's showcase will be singers, dancers, musicians and comedians.  The show is expected to last for about two hours.  All proceeds from ticket sales will go to Relay for Life, the American Cancer Society program.  Tickets are $5 for regular admission and $3 for children under 12 years old. You are invited to attend the world premier of three movies on January 29th at 7:00 pm in the Tangipahoa Parish School System building located in Amite City. For the ninth consecutive year the Talented Theatre group has received a grant from the Louisiana Division of Arts for the production of movies which explore social challenges facing America 's high school students. The project has been recognized nationally and has received two national awards. The movies were created by the Talented Theatre students of Amite and Sumner High Schools . Movies to be premiered are: Piano Lesson, Pranks, and Blackmail. Each feature is twenty minutes in length.
