The property management software, company I work for is consistently improving there product this time by adding improved support for roommates and/or secondary tenants.  You can now easily add full tenant details for multiple responsible parties on a single lease.  This new feature is great for the following scenarios; Roommates, husband and wife, and any other scenario where there is more than one tenant who is jointly responsible for the rent. When you have multiple payers that want ACH and each payer contributes only a portion of the rent.  (Easypay tenant ACH fully supports this scenario).  This also works equally well if the tenants are paying by cash, check, or credit card. Not to worry the “additional occupants” field will remain within the tenant edit screen and remains useful ... 04/29/2013

I have the opportunity everyday to communicate with property managers and private landlords.  There are times that some have mentioned that they are hesitant on asking prospective tenants personal information.  I am hear to say......it is OK to be NOSY     Some landlords (and PM's) feel funny asking people for their personal information. You have to be comfortable confronting people and asking questions you might need answered so you can complete your tenant screening process.  I also believe in making a copy of their driver’s license.  I like to order my tenant credit checks and background screening reports using accurate information.
