I have the opportunity everyday to communicate with property managers and private landlords.  There are times that some have mentioned that they are hesitant on asking prospective tenants personal information.  I am hear to say......it is OK to be NOSY     Some landlords (and PM's) feel funny asking people for their personal information. You have to be comfortable confronting people and asking questions you might need answered so you can complete your tenant screening process.  I also believe in making a copy of their driver’s license.  I like to order my tenant credit checks and background screening reports using accurate information. How Much Is It Going to Snow Tomorrow in Lawrence Kansas? I was asked yesterday while eating with our extended family for two of our grandkids' Birthday Party.  I stated emphatically 4.7" and they all laughed because of my precise figure.  Most people would say 4" or 5" but I said 4.7".  You see, close only counts in horseshoes; or so I am told. What's Going On In The Lawrence Kansas Homes For Sale Market?  According to Rob Hulse, Executive Officer of the Lawrence Board of REALTORS® (LBOR), 84 contracts were written in February 2013 vs. 60 contracts written in February 2012.  That is a 40% increase in contracts written!!
