THIS IS SUCH A GREAT STORY I CAME ACROSS IN AN EMAIL.  Thank you Brenda for letting me share this sweet story.   I did put my own little twist on things of course, lol.  :) ..... After A Tornado In Greensburg , KS .... The story begins with the rescuers finding this poor little guy they named Ralphie. Someone had already taken him under their wing but weren't equipped to adopt. Ralphie, scared and starved, joined his rescuers.                                           They didn't think anything could live thru this, but they were very wrong. This little lady also survived that wreckage.                                                                  Here she is just placed in the car, scared, shaken, confused.... but safe. and then, they are no longer alone!   : )   a friend!!!        ... 08/13/2008

Well, so am I. Jenny Persha  was way ahead with her post about the green plans for recovery at Greensburg,Kansas.  REALITY SERIES ON GREEN BUILDING.   As I commented at Jenny's post, there is now coverage of the project in the Kansas City Business Journal with an article by Rob Roberts.One of the issues with small communities such as Greensburg is needed changes in town/city building codes to include green practices and materials.  Greensburg has addressed some of this with a resolution that city-owned buildings meet the US Green Building Council's highest rating, LEED Platinum.  But there are communities where green building is delayed while town/city councils or aldermen boards recognize, consider and adopt green building materials within the building codes or adjust some consideratio... 02/26/2008
