Brown County. With spring here my mom and dad are looking forward to a trip to Brown County, Indiana. The garden shops have some of the most unusual garden items out.  They usually go in the fall,  but this year they are looking forward to a trip at the end of May.  Make sure you go to the sock store for some really cool socks.  The smell of  roasted nuts will pull you in for nice warms, fresh nuts.  Go up and down the alleys to make sure you don't miss and of the hidden treasures. If you plan on spending the night make sure you have your reservations in advance.

Many people visit Nashville, Indiana each year to shop at all the unique boutiques located on the main street stretch.  Brown County is noted for it's rolling hills and scenic area. (The Brown County State Park is located in this area as well.)Next time you are there, stop by the Story Inn, "One Inconvenient Location since 1851" is their tagline.  It's a quaint village that was founded in 1851 with the grant of a land patent from President Millard Filmore to Dr. George Stroy.  Dr. George Story came from a family of timber harvesters in Southern Ohio.  In its heyday, the village had two general stores, a church a schoolhouse, a blacksmith's forge and a post office. When the great depression hit (1929-1933) many families abandoned their farms to find work else where.  Story never recovered...
