I've written about this topic before, and my opinion stays the same (in most situations).   You've gotten pre-approved (hopefully with Joel Scheer with Ruoff Home Mortgage) and you're ready to start looking at homes.   You have a list of 15 homes that you've seen online and would like to check out in person.   Should we see all 15 in a single day?     Here are the situations where my answer is YES:   1.  You are relocating to the area from out of town and you're on time restraints due to travel time.  I don't want you to waste your time making two (or more) trips if we can get them all in that day.   2.  You need to find a home RIGHT NOW.  Maybe your current home just sold and is closing in 35 days, or your landlord sold the home you were living in and you have a short window before you...

Really, I'm not trying to be funny here.  It's a serious question.     Last week I was at a Realtor function and this topic came up.   A newer lender (Not one that I work with) had an elderly couple come into her office and apply for a 30 year mortgage.  She said that they were in their mid 80's.   If they paid on time every month for the next 30 years, that would make them 115 years old when they paid off their mortgage.   I'm not trying to sound morbid here, but the odds of them living to 115 is slim to none.   Even if they did, would they be able to continue working at that age?  Would their income still be there?     As an investor I would have a hard time justifying giving a 30 year loan to somebody that's 85 years old.     Is that considered discrimination?   Gene?  John?  Anybody...

This past week has been BRUTAL.   A few of our closings were pushed back to next week.   A client that just closed on their new home had their sunroom flood.   We have both been running around like crazy with our business, with the continued training of our wonderful assistant, and with answering questions from the two agents I'm mentoring. Please don't mistake this as complaining.   We're continuing to break records as a team and as a company.   Business is amazing, and we just keep on selling and selling and selling.   That said, I'M TIRED.   Today, I'm not leaving the house.   I'm going to find some good movies to watch on Netflix, make some popcorn, and hang out with these two little boogers.   I hope you enjoy your Sunday, because I know I'm going to enjoy mine.   Back to work tomo...
