Wilmette IL Real Estate 1st Quarter 2014 has really seen a great increase in movement. The property is selling and we have a 16.9% gain in the 1st quarter of 2014 with 490 properties sold Vs the same time last year at 419 sold and the year before that in the first quarter at 332 sold which was 2012. The is going to continue as Wilmette is such a desirable village to call home. At this time there are 91 single family homes for sale in Wilmette and 97 under contract and waiting to close. In the last 3 months 62 houses have closed and are sold. In the condominium scene there are 25 condos available for sale at this time and 24 under contract and waiting to close. By Art Wilson, Realtor Wilmette's March Property sales were 31, up 19.2% from 26 in March of 2013 and 55.0% higher than the 20 sales last month. March 2014 sales were at their highest level compared to March of 2013 and 2012. March YTD sales of 75 are running 29.3% ahead of last year's year-to-date sales of 58. The Median Sales Price in March was $510,000, up 33.8% from $381,250 in March of 2013 and up 9.3% from $466,490 last month. The Average Sales Price in March was $619,258, up 18.7% from $521,808 in March of 2013 and up 5.1% from $589,199 last month. March 2014 ASP was at highest level compared to March of 2013 and 2012. The Wilmette Il Real Estate market really boomed in 2013. So far 2014 is starting out fairly strong and we expect it to be a very busy year for buyers and sellers of property. Home prices have been rising slightly  in Wilmette -  just 2% since the beginning of 2013.  New listings are starting to come on the market - although slowly because of the extreme cold we've been having. Many experts predict, and I agree, that there will continue to be a shortage of inventory for 2014. Wilmette Illinois is one of the most desirable places in Chicago's North Shore to call home. Wilmette Illinois is a very desirable town located in Chicago's North Shore that offers beautiful homes, cobble stone streets and top notch schools. A town where you would want to rise your family.
