 As I have said in other posts, I NEVER am not wearing clothing that is branded.  Yesterday, I was doing some shopping and I had two people in a matter of minutes ask me about "the market."  In both cases these people were sellers who felt depressed becasue their homes haven't sold.  When I gave them my standard, "Business is great!  The market is great!" response to their questions about "the market," they were perplexed.  As they each told me their tales of woe, I explained that WE are the market!  If your home is priced right and marketed well, it should be sold.  It's simple.  There isn't any magic.  It takes POSITIVITY to sell Real Estate.  As sellers, they needed to have their expectations managed by their professional REALTOR and they needed to take some responsibility for their ...

I have to preface this by saying that I do not buy the slow market garbage that the mainstream media shovels out everyday!  We are the market people!  My business is going and growing GREAT!  If a home is priced right and marketed well, it will sell!That having been said, let me speak to an odd mentality that seems to be invading sellers in a certain situation, at least here in my local market.  This phenomenon is based in sellers who have built a new home, but have been unable to sell their current home.  I can not tell you how many times I have seen this in just the last few weeks.  They actually list their new house and keep their current home on the market!  This post was based on another I had made today in response to an agent who is having some difficulty selling her own home.  I...

I am taking this opportunity to let everyone know what a GREAT week I have had!  If the market is slow in your area, stop talking about it!  A positive attitude wins every time!  I have had 4 deals this week and I am working on my fifth right now!  I'm not buying the "bad market" story that so many agents are crying about!  It is what you make it!  I LOVE my client's!  I set very clear expectations of what it will take to get their home SOLD!  We set a strategy of timed, price reductions from the start so that there are no surprises and everything runs smoothly!  If you aren't setting VERY clear expectations with your client's, you will reap what you sow!  The agents who are all smiles and take over-priced listings drive me CRAZY!  That's what sends people into a fury about our industry...
