Corinne Guest, Barrington IL Realtor closes another sale in December 2014. Just last week she sold a condo in Lake Barrington Shores, this time it was a village property. The property was in Fairhaven subdivision a popular neighborhood location due to it's close proximity to Roslyn Elementary School; kids can walk to school and there is a crossing guard at Roslyn Rd and Route 59. Some home sales are not as easy as others. This property just seemed to get some bad luck but persistence and continued marketing by Corinne got the job done. Barrington 220 school district of Barrington Illinois is a sought after school district. As real estate professionals, schools can create a problem for us. Buyers have questions about schools and we cannot give answers. Of course many of us have children that went to Barrington 220 so we do have some inside knowledge. In the interests of making this post as fair as I possibly can and with full disclosure: My eldest son did not attend Barrington 220, he completed all his school years at a Christian School. Yesterday I saw a graphic posted on Google Plus and thought what a great idea. If buyers and sellers ever wonder about Realtor websites I am sure they would like to know how well a site performs. After all every Realtor has one but do they actually function, at all? There's no point in listing your sellers homes on your wonderful site if no-one ever visits it, right? So how do you compare? Barrington is a small area with about 40,000 residents and my target market. Here are some stats I pulled off my tracking package for activety for the year 2013. South Barrington home sales were soaring in 2013 and have been the best in the last 7 years. It's clear luxury home sales have made a recovery but I wonder if 2014 can keep pace. It might be a tall order for what is in essence a small village where homes rarely sell under a hallf million. 2014 for me was time to add something new to my marketing so I decided info-graphics can easily show home buyers and sellers in South Barrington the basics of real estate trends here. This is my very first attempt, I am sure I'll churn out some more advanced reports this way as the year progresses. As you can see we've had increasing sales year by year, average marketing times are down, but sales in the first quarter of 2014 were down a little on 2013. Only time will let us know if it was the long draw...
