Hawaii FORECLOSURES sit on the Fence. Have we recovered? Um I haven’t. Have you? It’s a strange time to follow the news and politics. The local Realtors say we have recovered and that the economy is better. Buyers are buying and Sellers are selling. I agree with that. Yet does the unemployment rate in Hawaii cooperate in these new purchases? Or does the number of defaults on mortgages and credit cards collate with the current local economy? I have associate who just filed 600 notices of default in May 2013. As far as buyers many (most) of the Buyers are Ca$h-buyers from the Baby Boomer crowd or (Canadians).
