I've always wondered why there's no goat milk ice cream.  You know, some people can't tolerate cow milk, but sheep or goat milk is usually fine.  Well today I found a vendor at the Upcountry Farmer's Market in Pukalani Maui who was selling goat ice cream!  They make it themselves at Haleakala Creamery, a boutique farm in Kula Maui.  Caramel sauce is their primary product.Of course I had to taste it to see if it was just a little goaty tasting, haha.  But it was no goaty, and it was just like "normal" ice cream. Upcountry Farmers Market in Pukalani Maui Hawaii, every SaturdayOK, so I promised to come back and show you more highlights of the fun little farmers market in upcountry Maui, in Pukalani.  It's located at the newish Kulamalu Town Center, you know, with Long's Drugs as the anchor tenant.  Every Saturday morning you can come and shop for local produce and food items for sale, with organic being the theme.  Here on Maui we like our food clean and healthy, despite the fact that the agri-giant Monsanto has roots down in Kihei. Welcome to Kulamalu Hilltop, a gated community in Pukalani Maui Kulamalu Hilltop is unique in the upcountry Maui region.  I can't think of any other gated communities in Makawao or Pukalani.  Sure, there's some in Kula, but those are generally large AG communities with acres for each homesite. Ohia Lehua Place is the one cul-de-sac street with only 12 lots, in Kulamalu Hilltop.  Homes along the outer rim enjoy spectacular ocean views.  These homes are limited to a single story.  Homes on the mauka side of the street can be 2 stories or 1.  They also have nice views of the ocean or mountain.   What's been selling in Kulamalu Hilltop?  Since the subdivision is so new, there have not been a lot of resales.
