Maui Hawaii South Shore Condo Listings Newsletter   -  January 2013The year end statistics are in and here's the breakdown for 2012: Kihei - 405 units sold, 39 units sold in December 2011; Maalaea - 53 units sold, 6 units sold in December 2011; Wailea/Makena - 114 units sold, 15 units sold in December 2011.  Of those 572 condos, 145 were oceanfront.   While the number of units selling is increasing, the inventory has decreased over the past year.  There are 85 new listings in the past month in the Kihei Wailea and Maalaea areas.  None of them are bank owned, and only 5 are considered short sales.  Contrary to what a buyer thinks, there are not a lot of distressed condos on the market.  This is Maui, where there's a high percentage of cash buyers, especially when it comes to vacation co... 01/12/2013
