The scuttlebutt at the morning coffee group in Kona is the Aloha Vista Bar and Grill changed management last year, which is why we are seeing a lot more advertising for it, I suppose. Greg, who used to be a former police officer, tends to show up at coffee on Wednesdays because his wife gets a massage nearby, and he mentions the place. (In fact, her massage therapist is fabulous as I can now witness first hand.) Greg says he and his wife often have breakfast at Aloha Vista Bar and Grill because it's a nice way to start the day.I had been meaning to drop by and have lunch. A few days ago, I got my chance.  When my friend Linda first told me about this place she's been going since I left the islands last November, I did not really understand what the deal was. Then, when we drove there Sunday night, after the Kona Choir Society free holiday performance out on Old Airport, I wondered if I would ever find it again.It's not an easy place to find. Real Estate News, Kanaloa at Kona Foreclosures and short sales 2016. Just when we thought it was over, here comes one out of the closet. I'm not going to use all the "Realtor" terms... I looked up tee times and the cost is posted at $165.00 each, and the first Tee time available is at 7:04 am.  Its been a long time in the making and it almost didn’t happen.I even had it on very reliable sources that the Mauka (mountain) course was actually slated to become pasture land for a local rancher – could you imagine cattle running through the front yards of the Million dollar homes at Keauhou Estates? Keauhou Kona shoreline on the Big Island of Hawaii We are over on the Big Island of Hawaii for a few days of relaxation, staying in the Keauhou Kona area along the south coast. It's quite warm here with daytime temperatures in the 80's, and no real breeze to speak of. Though it's beautiful and calm we kind of miss our Haiku Maui home with the cooling trade winds and gentle rain showers. Sure, real estate prices are lower here, but you get what you pay for.
