Kailua has established international notoriety with its fabulous beaches and views. It is also a favorite location and been visited by many celebrities as well as President Obama and his family. I would say last year and now this year, the market has taken off big time on Oahu in general. Kailua is crazy right now!!! Our inventory is probably historically low along with the interest rates. There are agents/buyers just swarming over new listings and this one is a prime example. This quaint and lovely property entered the market last week by Coldwell Banker Pacific Properties. I visited the brokers open on Thursday and it was like a party. There were at least 30-40 people previewing the property flowing in and out of the house on a consistent basis. The location of this property is a coup...

Aloha, in the Hawaiian language, can mean hello or goodbye, or love and affection. The word Aloha is used in a combination with other words, such as aloha kakahiaka, which means good morning; aloha auinala used as a greeting that means good afternoon; and aloha ahiahi is how you can wish good evening in Hawaiian. In Hawaii, you hear aloha all the time and you are treated with aloha everywhere. Aloha Spirit in the dictionary is the coordination of mind and heart within each person. It brings each person to the self. Each person must think and emote good feelings to others. In the contemplation...

Current September 2007This is a charming Kailua family neighborhood, with wider streets, and some areas quite close to the beach. Named after the Koolau Mountain Range, which you can view from many properties, it is the location of the famed Duck Road (Kainui) Road. A very wide street, it is lined in the center isle with palms, where ducks wander up from the part of the Kawainui Canal that ends at Kailua Bay in the Kaimalino/Beachside neighborhoods. Lot sizes vary widely, getting larger as you get closer to the beach, up to about 13,000 sq ft. and prices generally range from $700K-$1.8M, getting higher the further East you go, particularly East of Kainalu Street and on Kalaheo Ave. Canalfront homes are also available and are on the pricier side. Koolaupoku is bounded on the North by Mok...
