Happy Thanksgiving Kauai Style This Thanksgiving we celebrated at our cousins house in Anahola Kauai. It just so happened I sold them their Anahola house a little over 5 years ago. We often gather there for family celebrations. Julie (Kauai Realtor) making her famous Tangerine martinis. 6 of us toasting to all that we are thankful for. It was funny that the cameras did not come out until after we ate our Thanksgiving meal and I started making our after meal drinks. Thanksgiving was a bright and beautiful day on Kauai. My daughter Kela Caspillo (the young one in the pic) & I were able to catch some waves at Kealia beach in the morning prior to finishing our cooking and joining our relatives. Here on Kauai, King Kong appears to be alive and well perched high atop a mountain range outside of Anahola.  Can anyone spot the big fella in this photo? [If picture does not show, hit your browser refresh button] While I've not done the climb, I'm told you can visit him up close and personal with access via nearby Hokualele Rd.  With Kauai as his home, is anyone surprised that the 1976 King Kong remake was filed here? Aliomanu Ocean View Homes on Kauai's East Side Kauai's East Side features a number of luxury communities, many with stunning ocean and mountain views.  Such is the Aliomanu area just north of the village of Anahola.  Having attended an open house and seeing the panaramic ocean and whitewater views, I couldn't resist capturing the scene with the video featured herein.  Also impressive is the mountain views with the King Kong profile looming in the opposite direction.  This home is one of many in the area with similar views.  This one was priced just under $2 million.  The home in front was also open for viewing and had equal or better views.  It was priced just slightly higher.  Aloha!
