The Woodstock Police Department will be conducting “Operation Safe Ride” once again this year. On New Year’s Eve, Woodstock police officers will provide free rides home to patrons at local bars who may be impaired or feel that they are unsafe to drive. Any person in need of a ride must be at an alcohol-serving establishment within the incorporated limits of Woodstock and must live within a reasonable distance of Woodstock. Neese Towing has joined the operation again this year and will be offering to tow vehicles to homes free of charge.In its eighth year, this operation has provided over 300 rides home and has saved an uncountable number of lives. I like to look at the above graphic. It looks like a race car dashboard to me. And what it says is interesting. Some metrics are racing ahead like median sales price, and others are lagging behind, like active listings.A quick summary of the above shows us that in the Woodstock zip code area 30189, the number closed sales are running a bit behind the 5 year average. I was brainstorming with my marketing company the other day and I said I wanted to do a mailer with great eye-catching pictures and cute sayings that would get the attention of people in my farm area.
