Rivers Alive, Georgia’s annual river clean-up, comes to North Fulton on September 28, 2013. Sponsored by Keep Roswell Beautiful (KRB), the clean-up will take place from 8:30 to 11 a.m. followed by a cookout at 11:15 at Riverside Park. The event will be held rain or shine. The Roswell Police Department is offering a free women’s self-defense course at Roswell Area Park on September 26 at 6:30 PM. S.A.F.E. is widely known as one of the best women’s self-defense awareness programs in the nation. It was created by the respected National Self-Defense Institute (NSDI.org). The two-hour program is intended to introduce women to a winner’s mindset and basic physical skills that can be used to reduce their exposure to violence.
