Pooler is in Chatham County Georgia, just west of Savannah. If I had to choose a few words to represent Pooler they might be LIFESTYLE, LOCATION and GROWTH. Over the past few years Pooler has experienced amazing growth. According to census information Pooler has had a threefold increase in population since 2000. The population is now estimated at 22,000. In my opinion the growth can be attributed to LOCATION. Pooler enjoys easy access to two major Highways, namely: I-95 and I-16. You can easily get to any location from homes in Pooler. And if you don’t like driving that’s ok too. Pooler is located literally adjacent the Savannah Hilton Head International Airport. Pooler Offers a Great Location! Pooler enjoys quick access to the Georgia ports area and the commerce that goes along with it...

Welcome to Pooler, GA Pooler is a small, historic Georgia town. It offers visitors a secure, family- friendly, and fun place to stay and enjoy. Conveniently located at I-95, off of exits 102 and 104, or I-16 exit 155, Pooler is just minutes from Historic Savannah, the beaches of Tybee Island, and the low country of South Carolina. Current News  NO GROWING PAINS AS OF YET! Pooler is one of the fastest growing cities in Georgia.  Since the 2000 census it has more than doubled in population and many new businesses have located in the city.  It has long been known that it was targeted area for growth but with I 95, I 16, US 80 and Pooler Parkway going through the center of the town. It appears to be the bull's eye for growth. The 1000 plus businesses  vary in size from Mom and Pop to worl...

One of my favorite townhome communities is located in Pooler, Georgia... just a short 20 minute drive to dowtown historic Savannah and mid town Savannah.  Carriage Square at Morgan Pines offers brand new brick townhomes built around beautiful squares.  I really like the rear driveways and the choice to add a detached garage.  These townhomes offer a lot of square footage and upgrades from hardwood floors to Corian counters, luxury master baths with marble spa tubs, separate showers and marble vanities. Amenities include a community pool, tennis, exercise facilities, basketball, kiddie pool and the community is great for walking.  Pooler Parkway shopping and restaurants are just minutes away, but you can just hop on I-16 for a short drive into Savannah.  The Savannah International Airp...

Savannah's next door neighbor  Pooler, Georgia has seen a tremendous growth of new communities in recent years and Pooler's selection of condos and townhomes are outstanding in every price range. Communities range in price from the low 100s to over 400,000 for just under 3000 sq. ft. at the prestigious Savannah Quarters golf community.  One of my favorite neighborhoods, Carriage Square at Morgan Pines currently offers a large brick townhome with upgrades like Corian counters, stainless appliances, hardwood floors and a spa tub  Currently there is a beautiful townhome available at Carriage Square for just $129,900. At Savannah Highlands you can get a new townhome with over 1200 sq. ft. for under $125,000. Pooler Parkway is convenient for shopping and restaurants but a visit to Historic ...

If you are already in the coastal empire you've probably heard someone say, "It's cooler in Pooler!" I'm not so sure about that, but I do know that the  Pooler area is a hot market for new construction.  Just a short 20 minute drive up I-16 from Savannah and accessible from I-95 and just minutes from the Savannah - Hilton Head International Airport, it's an ideal location.Having grown up in Savannah, when I was a kid,  Pooler was just another small rural community on the outskirts of Savannah. Savannah was the city and living in Pooler was living out in the country.   In the 90's things started to change.  Developers began buying up the land and breaking ground on new residential communities filled with amenities.  Keeping up with the growing population, retailers began lining up alon...

Are you thinking of relocating to Savannah but not prepared to pay steep in-town home prices? Do you currently live in Savannah, but you are considering moving outside the city because of the congestion, crime and poor schools? Then you come to the right blog because Pooler, Georgia is the best kept secret in Chatham County! My name is Jennifer Graham and I am a full-time Realtor with Daley Real Estate. While I sell the entire Savannah market, my specialty is West Chatham. I'm from here and I work here. My family moved to Pooler in 1978. Back then, Pooler had one restaurant, one elementary school and no traffic lights. Now, it is nearly unrecognizable to old-timers! Conveniently located 10 miles from downtown Savannah, Pooler is no longer the sleepy bedroom community is was in the 1980s...

When Sherman and his men were preparing to enter Savannah in 1864, they camped in the Pooler community, which at the time had only a couple of hundred residents. Who could have known what it would become many years later.Pooler was named after Robert William Pooler who was instrumental in creating the first railroad station west of Savannah. When Pooler was incorporated in 1907, it had grown to a whopping 337 residents, thanks mostly to Ben Rothwell who helped the development along by buying land and giving lots to those who would build homes to make it a lasting community.Dairies spurred the local economy in the beginning, then many shops and businesses began to spring up. In 1928 the paving of Hwy 80 allowed residents easy access to Savannah. It wasn't until the 50s that major changes ...

Since growing up and becoming a military spouse, my definition of a home has changed. A house is just the walls surrounding and the roof over it. A house is built with material. A home is so much more. A home is built by people and connections. It's the place where you go to relax and escape. Your home should be the castle that defends you from the outside world. It can be your dream come true. I found my home in Pooler, Georgia. Pooler may be the fastest growing city in Georgia, but it doesn't show it. Pooler is close to Savannah and Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. But it's far enough away that I don't have to deal with the hustle and bustle of the city. Pooler has a small town feel to it with all that Southern Charm. It's intoxicating at times. Pooler has good schools like Pooler ...

What a funny name, Pooler. Short story it was named for a man. Pooler was founded in 1907. And that is the important part. It means that this year is Pooler's 100th anniversary. So to celebrate on Saturday May 19th, there will be a parade starting at 1 pm. The parade will start at the Pooler Home Depot on Pooler Parkway then go to the West Chatham Elementary School on Pine Barren. From there, the parade will head to the recreation park. There will be entertainment, games, and a lot of things going on. So if you are considering Pooler, come on out and meet the neighborhood and may be even your new neighbors. This is the perfect opportunity to learn about the area. This will also be a great time for children. At 9 pm, there will be fireworks. So don't miss out on this chance to have fun a...

You may have heard this, it seems to be the city slogan. But is it true? I guess it depends on your perspective. It certainly is not true in the summer. We are in Georgia though, so heat is to be expected. While Pooler may not be cooler in the weather sense. It is cooler than living in some of the downtown Savannah areas. Pooler is a growing city. There are new homes, new retail shops, a new elementary school, and a new middle school all in the works. While, there is a lack a variety for entertainment and shopping, it is nice not having to deal with traffic and crowds of people. Although, Walmart on any evening or weekend can be quite an adventure. So, what is there to do? For families with children, there is the Five Star Family Fun Park. They have two miniature golf course there. I ad...
