Will high-speed rail turn Macon into an Atlanta suburb?

Imagine boarding a high-speed train in Macon and 45 minutes later arriving in downtown Atlanta. Spend the short trip working on your laptop or resting comfortably, as your train zips past frustrated drivers fighting traffic on I-75. With travel time of less than 1-hour, the train would be an opportunity for local residents to take advantage of all the shopping, sporting events and entertainment, Atlanta has to offer. More importantly, high-speed rail would make it convenient for Middle Georgians to commute to Atlanta for employment, possibly turning Macon into Atlanta's newest suburb.
