Next weekend, November 15th and 16th, the Spring Hill Art League proudly presents the 35th Annual Fall Harvest of Art.  This year, this fine show will take place at a new location on the grounds by the Lake House at Kenlake Avenue in Spring Hill.  This beautiful tree-shaded park is a great place to display and admire the art work from artists and artisans who each year travel from near and far to participate in this juried show.  Media include oils, acrylics, watercolors, mixed media, photography, drawings, pastels, sculptures, handcrafted work in wood, pottery, jewelry, textiles and metal. Guidelines for admission of artists to the show are stringent to ensure high quality of the art exhibits.   Additionally, there is a student art competition that also is juried and the winner awarded...

It's finally over and whether you are pleased with the results or not - at least its over!  I am just hoping that people will get off the fence and start buying houses.  We were pretty busy and suddenly everything came to a halt.  Everyone we talked to said the same thing.  We thought maybe everyone was just waiting to see what happened.  Since we are in Florida, this time of the year tends to be busy.  The Snowbirds are coming back and lots of visitors from around the world.  Most go to Orlando or Miami area.  Our little corner of the world offers great fishing and boating opportunities.  It cost much less here than the east coast.  We have easy access to Orlando ( 1 1/2 hrs drive) and 5 hrs drive to Miami or catch a short flight.  We have a number of excellent golf courses.  There are...

We get that question all the time?  Well where is Spring Hill?  I never heard of it!  Well neither had I until friends moved here from Rhode Island and told us about this great land of milk and honey.  A place where the living was easy and cheap!  Spring Hill is located 45 minutes north of Tampa.  We are about an hour from Clearwater Beach and St. Petersburg.  The Veterans Parkway put us on the map.  Before it opened, we weren't even a dot on the map. Spring Hill is a subdivision - not a town.  It was originally developed as a retirement area.  That is no longer the case.  Since the tollway opened, it lets commuters get to Tampa much faster so its opened up the job market.  People move here because they can get more house for the money and they like the small town atmosphere. Wow! This is interesting.  I just started this thing and have already gotten 3 or 4 comments.  Perhaps this can be a good thing.   For those of you not familiar with Spring Hill, FL, it's about 40 miles north of Tampa on the west coast.  We have great fishing and diving in this area.  The water is fairly shallow.  It goes down at the rate of about 1 foot/mile.  It's true......go out ten miles, and it's 10 feet deep.  You'd be surprised however at the varieties of big fish we have here.  Especially the ones that are usually associated with deeper water.  What does this have to do with real estate?  It's a great place for your buyers who are looking for water sports and great home values.  Right now in this market, one can get alot of house on the water for not alot of money compared to o...
