How did Singer Island get it's name?
By Kathy Lewellen, Condo Specialist, Singer Island
(Quantum One Realty)
Singer Island was named for Paris Singer, the famous developer that was the 23rd and next to the last child of Isaac Singer, the sewing machine millionaire. He visited Florida in 1917 and purchased a home in Palm Beach. With Addison Mizner as his personal architect, he created Palm Beach as we know it today with it's Spanish architecture, pictureques streets and exclusive shops.Singer Island is a great place to live, work and play!
