The Satellite High School Marching Band and the Scorpionettes will be having a car wash today. It will be from 9:00 - 12:00. It is located at the Taco Beall at the corner of Scorpion Ct and Highway A1A in Satellite Beach. The band is asking for donations to wash each vehicle. The proceeds will help curb operating costs for the band. The Satellite High School JV Cheerleaders are having a car wash today from 10:00 to 2:00 at Taco Bell at the corner of Highway A1A and Scorpion Court in Satellite Beach. The cost is $3.00. The girls are raising money to help cover costs of running the organization. It's a beautiful day, head on out, get your car washed and drive right across the street, and spend the rest of the day at the beach! Recently, I worked with a wonderful seller that has been painting for over 60 years.  He spends his days and nights painting.  His house was filled with his incredible artwork.  He has some of the most beautiful pieces I have ever seen.  Up until the recent estate sale that was conducted on his house, as he was liquidating his parents furnishings. he had never sold a single one of his paintings.  People had always asked over the years if they could buy a piece or two from him, but he always declined their offers.  In the estate sale he sold nearly 20 of his beautiful paintings, literally within a week.   I just finished reading Ann Haydens Blog today about 10 Safer Driving Tips on how to drive cautiously while there is snow and ice on the ground. # 2 on Ann's list was to Pack emergency supplies in your vehicle:  food, water, blanket, shovel, sand, ice melt. and #3 was  Keep your gas tank at least half full because you never know when you are going to get into a jam. Ann always let's us know how the weather is in her neck of the woods of Missouri.  Earlier this week she posted a picture of an ice covered cliff - it made me shiver just to look at it. Well, I almost fell out of my shoes the other day when I opened the mailbox.  I couldn't believe my husband was getting an invitiation to his 30 year class reunion at Satellite High School here in Brevard County. We've lived in Melbourne Florida for almost 40 years now. 30 years have passed already? Are you sure?  No, it can't be... I had to stop and think for a minute...1978..2008, okay, I'll bite. The numbers added up.  Now, I must admit, he graduated a couple of years earlier than I did.  But, still....unbelievable!  It has been 30 years since high school graduation?  It seems like yesterday.  Where does time go?  How did we get here? We started reminiscing about the past, with our teenage daughters.  We decided to go to the reunion website...and through the photo albums on the site...

During the past three weeks we have seen an increase in activity with the exception of the holiday weekend. Prices continue to drop on those properties whee the owners have owned the property and the sale price still reflects a capital gain.
