    Homes In Roberts Point On Siesta Key, Sarasota, FL.    Roberts Point on Siesta Key is named after Captain Louis Roberts and his wife, Ocean Hansen Roberts who established their home on Siesta Key (formerly Sarasota Key) in the early 1900's.  At that time the island was known more for its mosquitoes and wild critters and their was no bridge to the mainland.
