  Florida Weather Is Fine For Labor Day Weekend   The forecast is for sunny days this whole weekend; however, there will be afternoon storms starting about 4pm as usual. We had our Pinellas County MeetUp in Safety Harbor Florida at the Green Springs Bistro last Friday. It was my first time at Green Springs Bistro at 156 Fourth Avenue North in downtown Safety Harbor Florida and I must say, the food was excellent.  It is always great to get together with fellow Rainers for a MeetUp and this one was no exception! ActiveRain Meet Up Fun In Safety Harbor, FL   Our ActiveRain Meet Up consisted of only 7 of us but we had the best time and lots of laughs.  We met at the Green Springs Restaurant in Safety Harbor which is absolutely adorable and the food was great! I am not surprised that Zillow is set to take over Trulia thus ActiveRain. It was inevitable that one or the other would make a move. I prefer Trulia because for a few of my listings Zillow has made it a living nightmare to make sure their data is accurate. A few times they were not which puts our real estate license on the line.This should not shock real estate professionals. Change is a constant in life as it is in business.Will this change the real estate landscape? I doubt it. Their data is based on our data.Will Zillow take over our business? I doubt it. Wonderful, eclectic Safety Harbor Florida is indeed a fun place to live. As you can tell from these photos, this is an artist's dream destination. The diversity of the homes and the love that goes into decorating them can be easily recognized. Safety Harbor Florida's Whistle Stop Grill & Bar located on Main Street was our destination on the 4th of July for lunch. I totally forgot that there was a parade at 10 am on Main Street, so when we got to the Whistle Stop for lunch, it was packed! There is little wonder why it was packed, the food is always excellent. I had the grilled cheese sandwich on ciabatta with provolone, goat cheese, grilled green tomatoes and asked them to leave the bacon out. It was wonderful! The Whistle Stop Grill & Bar on Main Street in downtown Safety Harbor Florida is always a great destination for lunch and if you go on the weekend, be prepared for live entertainment.   Philippe Park Children’s Playground, Where Is Freddy Flintstone   What is this weird landscape  we came across  in Phillippe Park in Safety Harbor.  It’s the Childrens Playground Rock Climbing Park. I’ve written about the beauty of Philippe Park previously; the wonderful views of the bay, the beautiful trees, but did I tell you that Philippe the oldest park in Pinellas County. And, it’s named after Count Odet Philippe, who is buried somewhere on park property (which used to be his home); but no-one knows where so don’t go digging the whole place up. He purchased 160 acres in what is now known as Safety Harbor back in 1842.   Water For Wildlife at Philippe Park in Safety Harbor -Curious I was wondering why this water fountain was so short; first I thought it was for dogs but when I got to the other side there was a sign that it was water for wildlife.  Which then left me wondering how the wildlife knew to press the pedal. Safety Harbor Florida is celebrating July 4th 2013 with a parade and fireworks! The 4th of July parade will be presented by American Legion Auxiliary Unit 238. The parade begins at 10 am on Main Street and will consist of floats, cars, bands and more! At 5 pm the celebration continues at Safety Harbor Marina with vendors and live entertainment. There will be activities for the little ones and the fireworks are supposed to begin after 9 pm. There is nothing to compare with fireworks being set off over the water and Safety Harbor Marina is right on Tampa Bay! It is sure to be a fantastic event for the entire family!   06/25/2013
