Memorial Day was established to honor that many who died in the Civil War and today it is for all of our fallen in all wars.  The flags are normally at half staff although they may stay at half staff this time to remember the lives lost in Texas.Our neighborhood, Victoria Parc at Tradition, did a fund raiser for families of fallen soldiers.  The young person below is selling lemonade.Later in the day people decorated their golf carts like the one below.Hope everyone takes time to remember and then enjoy back yard BBQ. 05/29/2022

The area of Tradition, an association of many neighborhoods, hold various events.Property owners in Tradition are Members of this Association, along with being Members of their individual neighborhood homeowners associations. The Master Association is responsible for the operations and maintenance of various common areas throughout the Community, including the Tradition Dog Park and Tradition Town Square.Saturdays, the area is filled with  booths of crafts and local Florida produce, meat, and beer.   On the first Friday of the month Tradition hosts The Invasion of the Food Trucks.  Here you have an opportunity to take the different foods of many local cooks.Many come from the neighborhood including this guy  below.I am looking forward to the upcoming Memorial Day Weekend here. 05/24/2022

We have just wound down the month of February in Florida.  Sunday was a wonderful day on the water.  We enjoyed our time as you can see Phyllis agrees.Today I had a visit from one of my colleague from New York.  Jack Martinelli is publisher of Westchester Magazine.  They do the food festival every year.  He was in South Beach this weekend to see their festival and he is visiting another one in Charleston on his way back.When I posted this to another group another colleague said Jack forgot his Florida clothes.Today we are driving back and hopefully it won't be too cold. 03/01/2022
