All I want for Christmas is the new car I bought today! The Hyundai Tucson I purchased used last year has been in the shop a few times too many and I need a car that is dependable, not one that is in and out of the shop. I had already narrowed down my search using Edmunds.com, so we decided to drive north to check out the Mitsubishi and the Ford dealerships. It was a good move!!!! After looking at the Mitsubishi Outlander, Andrew Lloyd came over from the Ford of Port Richey Dealership which is next door. He showed me other Mitsubishis and then we walked over and looked at Fords. In the end, I purchased the 2013 Ford Escape with EcoBoost. "Always hire a Realtor(R)" you see it in advertisements and you hear it on television.  We tell you this because as Realtors(R) our job is to Protect the Public.  This is one horror story where the phrase "Always Hire a Realtor(R)" was ignored. In March I was contacted by a sweet, funny gentleman who was looking to spend about $25,000 on a foreclosure home in Port Richey. Golden Corral in Port Richey FL Has Finally Reopened     There have been numerous stories in the local news about the prior closure of Golden Corral in Port Richey, Florida. They have since re-opened. The interior has been updated and the carpet looks cleaner than before. They now offer ice cream. Or at least the last time I was there they did which was the day after Thanksgiving. If you have not been back yet… give it a try. I highly suggest it.   Oelsner Park in Port Richey-Florida -  Small but beautiful Oelsner Park is a tiny treasure of a park on the water at Miller’s Bayou that was renewed a few years back through a $50,000 grant from the Florida Recreation Development Assistance Program, and an additional donation from the city's Community Development Agency. Aldi in Port Richey Florida   Aldi in Port Richey Florida opened in September 2010. I remember its grand opening. I could not find a parking space :) so I waited to start shopping at this location two weeks later. You can find some great deals there. When I shop there it saves my family anywhere from 30 to 50% of what I used to spend on food. The pizzas and wine are splendid as well. Lately I bought a Spinach and Goat Cheese pizza for $2.99 and had it with some Malbec Toca Diamonte (Mendoza) cabernet wine from Venezuela which I also bought from the Aldi in Port Richey, Florida.  It was $3.99:   It made a great dinner.
