Are you facing foreclosure?  Behind on your mortgage, need HELP? You May Have A Better Way Out! There are countless hardships that can turn home ownership from a joy into a burden.  The loss of a job, medical bills, or an unexpected hike in monthly payments can all make a mortgage unaffordable.  But ignoring the bills will not make them go away, it will only make things worse. If you need help, there are approaches that can help, but you may not be familiar with them.  One of these is a "short sale." In an approved short sale, the lender agrees to accept less than is owed for the property, and the homeowner is relieved of the debt.  A lender may be willing to do this because it spares a lot of hassle and expense involved in executing a foreclosure.  And typically, a short sale does far ...

Anyone else see the MSN.COM headline today, 10 Things your real estate broker won't tell you ?   1. "Your open house is really just a networking party for me."  My response: I tell sellers that most likely I will get more listings than buyers from an open house, that is how I feel and tell them up front    2. "My fees are negotiable." My response: It depends if you want to negotiate your fees, this could or could not be true, it depends on the agent and their brokers policy.  For me, I would not let a deal die if we are close over my fees 3. "Think you've had no offers? Actually, there have been several." My response: I present any and all offers that I recieve, any agent not doing this is seriously taking a chance 4. "I'm not obligated to keep my mouth shut for you." My response: This ...

One of the things we first learn in this real estate business is the part about ethics/morals, etc. My question is - how long does it take for us to forget this important part of our business. Personally, I have encountered several instances recently of unethical, greedy, hateful behavior, all about money....Only the money, the commission, the closing, the sale. To scheme, to lie, to cheat for a paycheck is pretty down, dirty, and desperate; if you ask me. A $5000 check is not worth my character, my reputation, or my soul. At the end of the day, I have to live with myself, and sleep at night, and I do - Very Well

License Application Process Rowlett Real Estate School recommends that, if at all possible, as soon as the student decides to take the sales associate license course or the broker license course, the student should 1. First make application to the state. This will insure that you are approved to take the state board and will also allow you to take the state exam as soon as you finish your course with no waiting. This can be accomplished by doing it on-line or printing the application out, having it notarized and mailing the application in with a check. The school recommends students make the application on-line because it is faster and the student can attest to the facts without having to have the document notarized, saving time and money. Students can mail the application payment on-li...

The Florida Real Estate Market statistics and summaries for the Panama City area for June, 2009 are now available for your convenience and download. The Panama City Florida real estate market continues to maintain itself with slight increases and decreases in expected areas: An increase in expired listings shows agents continue to take overpriced listings that will not sell in today's market. Sellers must be educated when pricing their homes for sale. It remains a buyers market and homes must be priced accordingly. Condo sales decreased slightly in part due to short sales and foreclosures as well as low appraisal values. The time-to-close factor plays a significant role in actual sale closings. In addition, smartly market priced condos continue to sell well. Read more at the Florida Rea...
