This is Susan, she us a wonderful person, friend, and hair extraordinaire!She fought (*and won!) her battle with breast cancer a couple of years ago.  When I first met her, she had opted for a double mastectomy as a preventative measure.  I'm sure she hates it that I haven't come back to get my bangs trimmed (I've been busy...), but I thought this was more important...The Breast Cancer site is having trouble getting enough people to click on their site daily to meet their quota of donating at least one free mammogram a day to an underprivileged woman.  One of my favorite and best neighbors passed away June 2 of this year.  His name was Otto, and he was 42.  When my family moved to the neighborhood in 1977, Otto had been here for about ten years.  He was a well-known actor, an artist, and friend to many. Otto was a gorilla, and he lived at what was once known as "The Chimp Farm", now the Suncoast Primate Sanctuary, a private, non-profit Foundation run completely by volunteers and private donations.  Best known outside of his home from his ads for American Tourister luggage, within the sanctuary he was undoubtedly the star.  A celebration of his life is planned on July 11, 2007 at 9 AM at the sanctuary, 4600 Alternate US 19, Palm Harbor.  For more information, see LINK.  06/25/2007
