This morning I read an article about two women in Manhattan who would target "Open Houses" with the sole intention of robbing them. They would wander in to an "Open House" pretending to be "Buyers" while one would distract the agent, the other would start looking around for jewelery,watches,and coins.   Five years ago we used to hold an "Open House" every weekend with the hopes of attracting a buyer,many times the "Open House" enabled us to network the area for future sellers.We never had much luck selling the homes during an "Open House,which was the sole purpose of conducting them.I read an article in a Real Estate magazine which mentioned "less than 1% of Open Houses" actually lead to a sale.
