I have a real issue with the situation here regarding pets in condos.  I just can't believe that these 55+ communities will not allow a small pet.  What am I missing?  Don't these people understand that these pets are sometimes what keeps older people from just getting out of bed in the morning?  These elderly people are being forced into getting "emotional support" letters from doctors.  Give me a break please!  I challenge anyone to tell me that having a pet around you when you are alone and old is not a healthy situation.  I will agree to a weight limit and I would enforce strong rules about picking up after the pet and no barking to disturb the other owners but please these rules about pets need to be changed and they need to be changed now--the baby boomers are here!
