EAGLE HARBOR RESIDENTS ARE SO SPECIAL! An Eagle Harbor resident just returned from a tour of duty in Afghanistan. His family asked neighbors to put flags out on the street to honor him when he came home. Here is the result and I just wish I could really let you see what it looked like. Imagine my surprise when I turned the corner while walking our dog. It brought tears to my eyes. These flags speak of the friendliness and kindness of Eagle Harbor and its residents. We have lived quite a few places, but nothing matches the great group of people gathered together here in Eagle Harbor on Fleming Island. I just had to share it. WHEN THE FLEMING ISLAND SIGN SAYS 'SOLD' - IT IS CONTRACT PENDING When Fleming Island buyers drive around and see bright red "SOLD" sign riders on top of real estate signs, what it really means is that there is a contract on the house and it is 'CONTRACT PENDING.' When the house is really SOLD, the sign will be gone. A Buyer does not want a real estate sign saying SOLD sitting on their lawn when they are moving in and for a couple of weeks afterward. In the interest of greater transparency, a CONTRACT PENDING rider is the correct one to put on top of the sign if the Listing Agent wants to promote themselves to the neighborhood.
