There are many great parks to visit in Dunedin, Florida.  A personal favorite is Weaver Park, located on Bayshore Blvd, just north of Downtown Dunedin.  The park is adjacent to the Pinellas Trail, making it easily accessible from downtown.  It is comprised of a playground, fishing pier, two pavillions, and has public restrooms and drinking fountains. The playground at Weaver Park is absolutely adorable.  It's nature theme has children climbing through a tree to reach the slide and climbing on an ant hill to play.  The playground is ADA accessible and designed for all abilities.  There are two main play areas; one is for the older kids and one for the little ones.  A big favorite of the playground is that the entire surface is a cushioned turf.  The kind you would typically only see unde... 08/22/2015

The city of Dunedin is really working to go green!  Rain Barrels are available in Dunedin....for free!  There is a large movement to go green at home and in business.  Yes it's good for the environment, but it also makes financial sense.  By saving electricity and conserving water, you are automatically lowering your utility bills.  And who doesn't want that?!The city of Dunedin has information on their website for Florida friendly landscaping, building green and much more. This osprey likes his redfish raw. Can't say I blame him for loving redfish, it is one of my top three fish to enjoy! This was also taken out on Honeymoon Island yesterday. It was a fantastic day and there are so many osprey that call the island home, that getting photos like this really isn't that difficult. It takes a good zoom on the camera and a steady hand or a tripod. 01/28/2015

Bald eagle's are really beautiful and we have a family of them living on Honeymoon Island State Park.    While we were taking our morning walk, I managed to get a great shot of one of our resident bald eagles as well as of the enormous nest that they have on the island. 01/28/2015

Can you see the top of the Great Horned Owl that I photographed today at Honeymoon Island State Park? His ears are visible just over the top of the nest. This was a great shot since everybody was attempting to catch a photo of the owl later on as we returned down the trail. He was not to be seen. It was a beautiful, sun filled day! 01/27/2015

Beautiful Hammock Park is located in Dunedin Florida and it was our goal for an early morning walk today. The citrus trees are full of ripe fruit, 'free for the picking', and the blue skies made it an enjoyable walk. It is in the mid-60's but supposed to go up to near 80 later this afternoon. This is the type of winter we down here in Florida are more used to. A couple of days of cold and then back up to boating weather! Hammock Park off Michigan Avenue in Dunedin Florida is always a great destination for a walk in the woods. There is a playground, bathroom facilities and so much to see, from raccoons to snook that come up the stream from the intercoastal waterway during the cooler winter months.     01/11/2015
