Mina was rescued on October 14th 2010 from a parking lot. She is still a feral cat but allows me to pet her sometimes. I haven't tried to hold her yet, as I am hoping she will come to me eventually. She is due for her 2nd visit to the vet on the 05th when they are supposed to fix her. I have 3 more days to figure a way to get her inside her travel carrier. The only way that I was able to rescue her was using a raccon trap. Any tips or advice?

This past Friday we rode from the Atlantique Cafe in Delray Beach, at 777 E. Atlantic Blvd to Lake Worth for a 20 miles ride at 20-22 MPH. Due to the strong wind, we averaged 18 MPH. It was a great surprise to see Nancy wearing our Leal USA Realty tri-suit for the ride. It looks really great on her. It is a beautiful design with the Leal USA Realty Logo and with A1A Riders written on it, along with the "3 Feet Please" request, so cars can respect cyclists driving at least 3 feet away. It was a great ride and great workout. Thanks Nancy, for the advertisement, and for wearing our logo so well.

If you are a buyer looking to buy in Boca Raton, Delray Beach, or Boynton Beach, let me give you some useful tips that can help ease the buying process. These tips should help keep you on track and decipher what's most important in your Boca Raton, Delray Beach or Boynton Beach Home!! 5 "BAD" Reasons Not to Like a House   The wall and carpet colors give you a headache. A little paint and a neutral-colored carpet or wood are quick fixes. Pay more attention to the layout and use of space than to the color scheme. Dated appliances in the kitchen. If the layout and the size are right, you can live with the appliances until you can afford new ones. Who knows, you may even get to like white (but probably not avocado). Uninspired landscaping. As long as there is adequate space for your needs, ...

The Ninth Annual American Orchid Society's Fall Show is just around the corner and if you live anywhere in South Florida, you'll know just how lucky we are to have the headquarters for the Society right in our own back yard. The current U.S. housing market and national financial crisis has caused untold stress and heartache for many American families. Foreclosure is one of the most devastating financial challenges that a family can face and one that many times can be avoided. The options available to Boca Raton-area residents for foreclosure are many. Following is a brief explanation of these solutions, including their benefits and drawbacks:   Reinstatement  A reinstatement is the simplest solution for a foreclosure, however it is often the most difficult. The homeowner simply requests the total amount owed to the mortgage company to date and pays it. This solution does not require the lender's approval and will 'reinstate' a mortgage up to the day before the final foreclosure sale.  ·  Benefit: Does not ...

Mina is my new rescued kittie cat. We have had 5 days together and a long progress. She is using her litter box, eating well and exploring the living areas of the house. When she is really happy ( so I think) she talks back to me, in her "Miau" language and I always wonder if I can really guess what she is trying to say. Two days ago, when I arrived home, she showed me her teeth and made that "HHH"  ( not happy ) sound. Whenever she does that I figure she needs her alone time. But, curious, I looked around to see why. Surprise!! Outside my house, in my back-yard, there was a huge fat cat looking at her through the sliding glass doors. WoW! I was so curious to know. Is he/she looking for friendship, date or just for additional food source? Should I feed her new friend? What would you do?

Mina and I had have great progress together. I found her at a bank's parking lot from where it took me 4 days to figure out a way to rescue her. On October 14, 2010, I had her in my house, for her first overnight. Right in the morning we went to the Vet so she could have all her shots and her first consultation. When back home, she spent her second night in the laundry room, but soon travelled around the living areas where she chose as her best location. Interesting to say that she wasn't huge on hiding, she would actually stay pretty visible, but always never closer than an arm's lenght. After her thrist night I started to freak out, as she somehow would not use the litter box. I even purchased a special product that calls itself he solution for it. But, after consulting with my cat ex...

This was the second night of the kiddie cat with me. Right after the first night, I took her to the Vet, where she had all her exams done, her shots,  and her nails trimmed. She stayed at the Vet till late in the afternoon. On the way back, I set up the laundry room to receive her. Removed her from her little travel bag, and have being watching her every hour or so. She seems ok, but still very afraid and unconfortable. I also noticed some liquid in her plate ( she might have through up) and did not poop in the litter box. She is a feral, wild cat, and I have never had a cat. Any tips and or suggestions on how to make her happy? Here are some of her pictures from today. Do you think her eyes are ok? They seem to be very dilated. What can I do to put a smile on her face? Thanks for your ...

I just adopted a kiddie cat. WoW! It sounds a little scary to me, to be responsible for that little kiddie's well being. But that is my utmost concern and I can't wait for the veterinarian's office to open at 9 AM, so I can take her for her shots, blood exam and anything else that her doctor recommends. It all started on October 11, 2010, when I went to a neighborhood bank, to make a deposit for my client. The gorgeous, charming kiddie cat was rounding around the bank, crying for food ( or so that's what I guessed). So I drove quickly to the Walgreens pharmacy across the street, bought some can cat food, cat food container, and drove back to the kiddie, to feed her. She ate everything, but only when I stood farther away. The closest she would allow me to get was an arms lenght. At night...

Residents have been protesting for months about the possibility that the discount giant Walmart may be built on Linton and Federal Highway. Yesterday we found out that Walmart has pulled their zoning request which essentially means Walmart will no longer attempt to build a store on Federal and Linton. "That is welcome news says Tropic Isle resident Jackie"  We really did not know what would happen if Walmart was built in our neighborhood.  This is a wonderful very close residential community that really did not want Walmart here.  There is already one 3 or 4 miles up the road on Linton.  I am very happy about this news"   Like Jackie, many residents feared that Walmart would bring a huge amount of traffic into their intimate waterfront community.  Now they have to worry no more.
