Despite Low Rates, Pending Home Sales Slip In August September 30, 2011 By coralsprings7280 Despite the lowest mortgage rates of all-time, home buyers are slowing the pace at which they’re buying homes. According to the National Association of REALTORS®, on a seasonally-adjusted basis, the Pending Home Sales Index fell 1 percent in August. The Pending Home Sales Index measures homes under contract, but not yet sold, nationwide. In this respect, the Pending Home Sales Index is a forward-looking housing market indicator; a predictor of future home sales. It’s one of the few national indices that “looks ahead” to future market conditions. Most housing data, by contrast, describes past events. On a regional basis, only the South Region showed improvement in August’s Pending Home Sales Index...

Initially when introducing a Short Sale option to a troubled, struggling homeowner that is sinking faster than the Titanic, they might become mad or sad that I am suggesting selling their home they worked so hard to get. But, the reality is, if it's become a hardship, a very heavy burden that causes you to lose sleep and havoc in what was once harmony in your happy abode, you may want to look at the option of "letting go". I've written about this several times. See my previous post I wrote in 2009. I've helped several homeowners get out of trouble. I know agents can look like hungry wolves scratching at your door with their eyes only set on the commission check at the end of the closing. I can only speak for myself and maybe a handful of other associates that I have done business with, ...

Here I am, sitting at The Walk in Coral Springs, in front of the Fountain, sipping on a nice Cabernet. There is a band setting up their equipment not too far from me, in the cool breezeway and there is a guy putting out seats for the audience/fans. It won't be anything loud or crass, just soft jazz/ blues. The kind of sound that's easy to take in on a Wednesday evening. This is what takes place every Wednesday night at the Walk in Coral Springs. Coral Springs Florida Is Highly Sought After Real Estate Coral Springs Florida is highly sought after real estate for many reasons. In 1963, when Coral Springs was chartered, it was slated to be a retirement community. Every inch was planned by design. Top priority being the esthetics of the city, the developers wanted an upscale look.  There we...

I am always reminded of the line by Sandra Bullock, in Ms. Congeniality, when she was in the beauty pageant, where they asked her what she wanted and instead of giving the stock answer of, "WORLD PEACE", she went off on a tirade about gun control. WORLD PEACE, might be a stock answer, but it is a dream and a goal worthy of achieving. The city of Coral Springs and One Planet United put their best foot forward in helping us get one step closer to WORLD PEACE! One Planet United and the City of Coral Springs once again will be co-sponsoring the annual Weekend of Peace, a celebration in conjunction with The International Day of Peace. Please click on the very short video to learn more.   They hope you can attend and join those who have a vision for greater peace in our community and in the w...

Poles were erected around the city of Coral Springs and white lights started flashing as red light runners ignored the blaring signs that warned you to stop or be photographed going through that red light. On August 15, the City of Coral Springs activated the red light safety camera program. During the initial 30-day warning period, violators will receive warning notices in lieu of actual fines. Starting September 14, notices of violations will be issued in the amount of $158. The program is designed to deter drivers from running red lights and reduce serious traffic collisions. The locations were selected after a recommendation from the Coral Springs Police Department based on the increasing number of violations and severity of collisions. The active intersections include: Southbound a...

I just finished reading an article from RisMedia about Our Beliefs Limiting our success.  Link Here http://rismedia.com/2011-08-10/real-estate-marketing-strategies-are-your-beliefs-subconsciously-pushing-success-away/ Until I read this I NEVER Considered How Lucky I am!  Never realized how those early lessons would impact my choices and success later on. It used to annoy the heck out of me when as a kid under the age of 10 we would sit at Dad's office or run around the local airport runway (long before 9/11)....He'd constantly make lists (long before Smart Phones and DayTimers)..... If the list wasn't complete - he'd start a new one and at the end of each day, mark off his accomplishments and then prepare himself for the next days of assignments and accomplishments.  Under the age of 10...

Pending Home Sales Rise For 3rd Straight Month Posted by homeprice7280 in Blog | 0 comments Buyers are writing contracts at a furious pace nationwide. On a seasonally-adjusted basis, the Pending Home Sales Index rose 2 percent last month to reach its highest level since March. A “pending home sale” is a home under contract to sell, but not yet closed.  The forward-looking Pending Home Sales Index is up 11 percent from its low of the year, according to the National Association of REALTORS®, and well ahead of its rolling 6-month average. Unfortunately, national data isn’t always helpful for buyers and sellers nationwide. To help make data more relevant, therefore, the official Pending Home Sales Index report includes a region-by-region breakdown.  Between May and J...
