Pretty sure I am going to wish that I wrote this BEFORE this Fantastic event...rather than after. The problem is I am BEYOND busy trying to coordinate this event and trying to run my brothers and mine successful real estate business. I did want to share my thoughts and FAVORITES for the 8th Annual Coral Springs Festival of the Arts event. The 1st year for the Art Festival I started as a salesperson in the merchandise tent (Go Figure?!?) Next year was a repeat performance. The following year I had to be away for the Prudential real estate convention n San Diego (that was fun too probably because I traveled with my brother and we stayed in a haunted hotel (another story)! This year, on St. Pattys Day weekend, there will be artists showing off their talent from all over the country. There will be an irish twist to the theme, March 17th and 18th at the Walk on University in Coral Springs.   Waterway Clean Up Coral Springs Florida is participating in a waterway clean up for it's 16th year in a row. Mayor Roy Gold leads the Coral Springs site each year. He has been a longtime environmental activist. This year’s Coral Springs Waterway Cleanup is set for March 10 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Riverside Park, 205 Coral Ridge Drive. Coral Springs is known for having one of the largest cleanup sites in Broward County. Usually Coral Springs gets an average of 400 volunteers annually. The volunteers pull out trash and other items from the waterways. And every year when they're finished, they claim the effort is so rewarding. Did you hear what sold at the beginning of the new year in January 2012? Local teens are invited to show off their culinary skills at the City's third annual Teen Cook Off. Teams will be given the same ingredients, provided by Whole Foods Market Coral Springs, and will be making barbeque ribs and a side dish. Grills will be provided but participants must bring their own charcoal. Prizes will be awarded in different categories. Participants can be in grades 9 through 12 and must be a Coral Springs resident or attend school in Coral Springs.
