Cocoa FL Dining Brevard County Dining A friend and I headed out the other night to grab some dinner. We decided to head up to Historic Cocoa Village, located near Taylor Park, beside the Indian River Lagoon.  We felt like Thai food, so we thought that Thai Thai Village Sushi Bar would be a great choice. The place was full. The wait was a short 15 minutes, so we strolled across the street to the art gallery and admired the paintings of 5 different artists.  Since neither one of was a sushi eater, we opted against the fresh sushi bar. We had discussed the topic one afternoon this Fall. I have a property in Florida, a nice single family home in a sought after neighborhood in Brevard County, Florida. Marla and I went to "Trop Stock" in Cocoa Village, Fl. on Sunday afternoon and although the 3 day event was starting to wind down there were still plenty of Parrot Heads left to enjoy the show. We missed the headliners Peter Mayer, lead guitarist for Jimmy Buffet and Nadirah Shakoor, a vocalist with Jimmy but the music was great anyway. It was the perfect thing to do on a lazy, sunny day. Marla even got to go "shopping" :-) Parrot Heads (Jimmy Buffet fans) listen to great music on a sunny Sunday afternoon in Riverfront Park. People never stopped dancing by the stage. Jim Morris and the Big Bamboo Band put on a great show. The Band was excellent. Speaking as a musician, I can truly say they were top notch. TropStock in the Village is the latest planned event for downtown Cocoa Village.  It will be held October 1-3, 2010 and it will be a great weekend of Tropical Rock, known as Trop-Rock.
