Celebration Florida is an all-American town!  And you can't get any more all-American than Hot Cars, Home Made Pies and Disney!   This weekend has a little bit of everything for everyone here in Celebration Florida!   You have the Disney closeout sale happening!   Oh the deal there are to be had!   Then you have the:  Ferrari Club 4th Annual Celebration Exotic Car Festival          Then there was the Great American Pie Festival.  Downtown Celebration streets were closed off and we had an opportunity to stroll along and look at the cars, and hit the All You Can Eat Pie Buffet at the Great American Pie Festival.The festivities continue tomorrow, so be early and enjoy it!        04/21/2007

            This is fun, I was driving around Celebration yesterday and I suddenly started thinking of writing a really cool post about the various streets here in Celebration Florida and how they have to relate to the famous fruits that we have to input when we post comments.   I was listening to National Public Radio and there was an interesting discussion about how traditional Sports media is threatened by the BLOG world.  The broadcast was title:  "ESPN Apologies for Radio Host's Attack on BLOG"Sound familiar folks? Listening to the broadcast I was struck by the changes in the media and how we as human beings process such information.  And the impact of it. Blogging is immediate, traditional media has lag time.   Traditional Media outlets are loosing their audiences daily to BLOGS and they are threatened.  But it isn't just Don Imus that is getting into trouble with what he says, it is other hosts too...      After our Active Rain lunch meeting at the Columbia Restaurant in Celebration, Florida, my husband and I walked around downtown Celebration. We found this an interesting building - it looks like a church, but we really didn't research it. The Disney Company designed Celebration and built it from the ground up with a small town feel.  Inspiration was taken from a variety of designers and is now home to over 9,000 residents. The Post Office in Celebration was designed to be a place for people to gather and is conveniently located right next to the Town Hall.  Here are some interesting facts about the Celebration Post Office: The Celebration Post Office was designed by Michael Graves from Princeton NJ who is known for his postmodern architecture.  Other buildings he has worked on include the Dolphin and Swan Hotels on Walt Disney World property.The Celebration Post Office features a rotunda in the entrance and is a wood board-and-batten building with painted metal roof.
