Newark Delaware Fraunhofer USA's Center for Molecular Biotechnology a Newark Delaware employer of @ 100 people has been awarded a 5.3 million dollar grant from the Defense Threat Reduction Agency, a unit of the Department of Defense tasked with protecting the country from weapons of mass destruction. Fraunhofer hopes to produce a flexible technology that can quickly produce a large amount of vaccine for biological agents in the event of a terrorist attack. Last month the company received a 10 million dollar grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to move development of  its transmission blocking vaccine for malaria to its next stage. Taiwan company buys Newark Delaware GE solar plant Motech Industries has purchased the GE solar assembly plant in Newark Delaware.  Motech had been the supplier of solar cells for the plant for the last 4 years and plans on keeping its 75 employees. The question I have been asked the most in my 14 years as a Realtor in Delaware is  "Larry, How about foreclosures?"  Most of the time its in email for or over the phone so in order to have this info available to everyone here are the different types of homes that are for sale in a nutshell.   1.  Realtor listed home- The most common type of sale is the home listed with a Realtor.             Usually the seller has some equity in the home and gets a check at settlement to purchase another home so his mortgage lender gets paid and full.  This is usually the easiest home for a buyer to purchase because the transaction is only between two parties (buyer and seller). 2.  Short Sales-  A short sale is a home listed for sale where the Seller owes more on the home than they can sell it for aft... 11/24/2009

Today I went to the gym for the first time in a few weeks and ran into one of the owners Jeff and as we were talking I realized that I have not be coming around as much as I should.   I used to be a serious gym rat but with real estate picking up and showing lots of homes really keeps you busy! When I leave the fitness center I always feel great!  There is nothing like getting on the stepper/treadmill for 30 minutes and lifting some weights.  I am energized every time! Delaware Schools started giving out the H1N1 Vaccine this week at many Delaware schools. The Elementary School students will be getting the nasal spray while the older students will get the shots in the coming weeks.  Those who wish for their children to receive the shots must sign a consent form prior to the vaccine being given.
