  This Wednesday I attended a Make-A-Wish Fundraiser Event In Wallingford, CT hosted by ActiveRain members Pat and Wayne Harriman at Gouveia's Vineyard and Winery.  Pat and Wayne did a fantastic job hosting this event and everyone in attendance had a great time, while having an opportunity to help support a very worthy cause. The purpose of the event was to raise money to grant a wish for a Wallingford, CT child who is coping with a life threatening illnes.  Each wish costs about $10,000 and Pat and Wayne raised more than half the amount at this Gouveia's Vineyard and Winery Make-A-Wish fundraiser. Connecticut has been very successful at granting Make-A-Wish wishes, to date Connecticut has raised enough funds more than 2,400 wishes throughout the years, and Pat & Wayne hope to add one ... 05/18/2014

Wallingford Adopt-a-Wish Fundraiser Helps Fund a Local Child's Wish As many of you may know, Pat is heavily involved with the Connecticut chapter of Make-A-Wish. In fact, she just finished up what is being called the biggest wish ever granted in the state, a Walk For Wishes event held at Bridgeport’s Beardsley Zoo, which was an overwhelming success. The next event on her busy schedule is the Wallingford Adopt-A-Wish Wine Social Fundraiser at Gouveia Vineyards in Wallingford. The purpose of the event is to raise money to be put towards granting the wish of a Wallingford child who is coping with a life-threatening illness. Wallingford's Church of the Resurrection Carnival Almost Here!   It’s carnival time again and, as usual, the fun begins with Wallingford’s Church of the Resurrection sponsoring their annual carnival in the parking lot adjacent to their church.
