Wallingford's Church of the Resurrection Carnival Wants a Do-OverWe all know how uncooperative the weather can be in April, and because of it the Church of the resurrection carnival was forced to cancel the opening day of festivities and saw a marked drop in attendance for the other three days. Because of this, the carnival organizers are going to try keep the carnival in town this week and open it up again on Friday and Saturday, May 1st and 2nd, to let visitors have another opportunity to enjoy the festival in some more hospitable weather. Right now, the weather outlook for those two days is: afternoon showers on Friday with a high of 54 degrees, and mostly cloudy on Saturday with a highs in the low 60’s.Carnival committee chairman Paul Bankowski released this statement today which gi...

Church of the Resurrection Carnival Returns to Wallingford  Everybody loves it when the carnival comes to town! Once again, Wallingford's Church of the Resurrection is sponsoring their annual carnival April 22nd through the 25th in the parking lot adjacent to the church. The weather forecast for the four day event is for good weather on Wednesday, morning showers on Thursday, nice again on Friday, and occasional showers for Saturday, but the weather should not have any effect on the fun, games, rides and great food that always accompanies this much anticipated event. The venue will open nightly at 6pm and features a midway with more things to do than you can shake a stick at! Some of the fun to be had includes games of skill, chance and just plain ol' luck (NOTE: must be 18 years or o...

I recently posted about the latest artists to be featured on our Wallingford Inspires art wall, the kids from Splat Art Studio, and it’s getting very close to the time for them to show off their amazing works to the public! Who to contact: Pat Harriman, 203-605-3873   The art being displayed is all from some very special kids, and it’s all very creative, colorful and a treat to see! Five years ago today, Pat and I made a big decision to leave the relative comfort and security of a large regional brokerage and start our own shop. I think I was more nervous than Pat and yes, a little skeptical, too. But the upsides of the move far outweighed the downsides, so with a lot of sweat, a few tears, and even a little blood, we pulled the trigger and Harriman Real Estate LLC was born. Five years later, we’re going better than ever and growing by leaps and bounds. We’d like to thank all of our friends, family and clients for having faith in us, and all the agents who came with us and those who have joined us on our journey, we couldn’t have done it without you. As thrilling, amazing, successful. stressful and rewarding these last five years have been, it just makes us more ex...

Harriman Real Estate Art Wall Takes a Youthful Turn The seventh artist in our series of local artists is now gracing our “Wallingford Inspires…” art wall, and it’s fun, colorful…and done by kids! Adults Aren’t the Only Ones Who Are “Artsy” We are honored to have the kids from Splat! Art Studio displaying their artwork in our office to open 2015. Run by Kate McNamee, the studio bills itself as a place “where everyone is an artist”, the particular artists we are highlighting now are unique: they’re between the ages of 5 and 8 years old! Just look at the quality and depth of these pieces below, and you’d swear that they were done by a more mature artist, but these kids are certainly ready for prime time!     Pat and I are very pleased to have Splat Art Studio’s work on display on our art w...
