Prospect Ct is literally an intersection of roadways between New Haven and Waterbury Ct. Even today, it's a cozy town of app 15,000 people. The town enjoys the closeness of a small community yet still maintains a connection to the large towns that surround it, as people come home after work. One of the first sections to be developed in town is the Upper Scott Road area. Within a pie shaped area between Scott, road which comes up from the East End of Waterbury and Rt 69, the primary Rt to New Haven is a development of predominately small ranch style homes with an occasional colonial built on an extra lot. Today, at the intersection of Rts 68 & 69 in Prospect Ct, blooms a field of American Flags. The Field of Flags was started almost five years ago at a local church, with each representing an American service man or woman killed in Iraq or Afghanistan. This flag display was put up on Friday, March 26 and will stay here until it's taken down on April 18. The flags will be in Prospect at the request of a Waterbury father who lost his son in Iraq. Organizers of this event got the necessary permission from the Town and the church to put up the flags at the intersection. As we reached the end of 2009 in Prospect, Ct the market was showing a modest increase from the previous year in terms of total residential units sold. As Prospect, Ct is a small town to begin with the bulk of the inventory of available housing would be in residential sales. The only condominiums complexes in town are 55+ communities. In 2009, 78 properties were sold with a range in value from $190,000 to $589,000 with a median sales price of $257,000.   Yesterday, 12/16/09 was the grand re-lo-Christmas Extravaganzaput out by the people at the Prospect Pages here in Prospect, Ct  Our local paper does publish all the news anybody here in Prospect would want to read and of course it's all 'FIT TO PRINT'.   For the 13 years that I've been a resident of this town, I've seen them through at least 4 moves. Each one has seen the paper grow even more.
